I have always been inspired to draw, paint and create. My art education began in fine art. I changed to graphic design, earning a degree in Visual Art and Communication from the Art Institute of Atlanta. I was trained as commercial artist on a drafting table before learning computer-aided design.
Having both traditional art and digital design skills is very liberating when creating artwork. There is overlap in my work across visual art, commercial art and fine art. The artist skills of drawing, painting and visualization are part of my academic training and I draw on this foundation for craft and principle. And, I strive to push my design to be fresh and transcendent, no matter what project I am developing.
